What content protection cannot do

No website can stop an operating-system screenshot, and anyone willing to open developer tools can read what their browser has already downloaded. Any plugin that tells you otherwise is selling you something.

What AntiCopy does is raise the effort. It stops casual copying, right-click saving, drag-and-drop and most automated scrapers — the ways content actually leaves a site day to day. It is a fence, not a vault, and it is priced like one.

Editors keep working

Anyone who can edit posts is exempt by default, so you can select, copy and save on your own site exactly as before. You can turn that off if you would rather not be exempt.

Forms and checkout untouched

Form fields, comment boxes and the block editor keep normal copy and paste, and cart, checkout and account pages are never protected.

Search rankings unchanged

Every free protection is decided in the visitor's browser, so crawlers read the page exactly as they did before and cached pages behave like uncached ones.

Questions

Will this stop everyone from copying my content?

No, and be wary of any plugin that says it will. These protections stop casual copying, right-click saving, drag-and-drop, and most automated scrapers. Someone determined enough to open developer tools can still read the page.

Will it break my forms or my checkout?

No. Form fields, text areas and contenteditable regions are exempt, and cart, checkout and account pages are never protected.

What does it record about my visitors?

Nothing. The free version stores no visitor data, creates no database tables beyond its own settings row, and never contacts an external server. There is no telemetry and no analytics of any kind.

Does it work with a caching plugin?

Yes. Every protection in the free version is decided in the browser, so a cached page behaves exactly like an uncached one. Nothing needs to be excluded from your cache.

Is the free version a trial?

No. There is no licence key, no trial period, and nothing switches itself off later. Pro and Business are a separate download that adds different features — they do not unlock anything hidden inside the free one.
