Before you ask.

How does StockCue calculate demand forecasts?

StockCue blends your sales velocity across a recent window and a longer baseline window, excludes outlier orders so one freak sale doesn't distort the result, and applies seasonal indices derived from your own 12+ months of Shopify history. It backfills 24 months of order history on install and recalculates every night. A suggested order quantity is recent sales velocity multiplied by supplier lead time, plus safety stock, multiplied by the seasonal index for the month you're buying into, then rounded up to your case pack.

Can StockCue replace manual Excel spreadsheets?

That is what it is built for. Your reorder logic stops living in a sheet that is out of date the moment orders come in: StockCue syncs orders from Shopify, recalculates reorder points nightly, groups everything you need to buy by supplier, and turns the lines you tick into purchase orders. You can still export any report to CSV from Starter up when you want the numbers in a sheet.

How does StockCue handle vendor lead times?

You set a lead time per supplier, and StockCue folds it into the reorder point for every variant assigned to that supplier, so the trigger fires early enough for stock to land before you run out. On Scale, supplier reliability tracks the actual average lead time from PO sent to fully received, computed from your own receiving history, so your lead times stop being guesses.

Is StockCue easy to set up on my Shopify store?

It is a one-click install from the Shopify App Store, and StockCue syncs your products, variants, inventory levels, locations and 24 months of order history on its own. The part that takes a little time is adding suppliers with their lead times, costs, MOQs and case packs, by CSV or one at a time. Coming from Stocky, that imports in one step. Most merchants go from install to their first purchase order in an afternoon.

Which plans get demand forecasting?

All of them, including Free. Velocity, trend sensitivity, outlier exclusion, seasonal indices, and bundle-aware demand are platform features, not a paid tier. What Growth adds is explainable forecasting: the breakdown showing exactly how a suggested quantity was derived.

What counts as a SKU?

A tracked product variant. Bundle parents don't count. On Free, StockCue tracks your top 50 variants by sales velocity, so the SKUs that matter are the ones covered.

How is this different from NetSuite or a full ERP?

Those are built for companies with an operations team and an implementation budget. StockCue is built for the merchant who needs reorders, POs, receiving, and counts inside Shopify admin, at $19/month instead of $350+, with no onboarding project.

How are the paid plans priced?

By catalogue size, flat per store: Starter $19/mo to 500 SKUs, Growth $39/mo to 2,000, Scale $79/mo unlimited. No per-order fees and no per-seat fees. Annual billing is two months free on every paid plan.

Can I pay annually?

Yes, on every paid plan. Annual is two months free: you pay for ten. Starter is $190/yr, Growth $390/yr, Scale $790/yr.

Does StockCue write to my Shopify inventory?

Only when you tell it to: receiving a PO or applying a reviewed stock count. Those writes are idempotent, so a retry or double-click never adjusts twice. Every adjustment lands in the inventory audit log with actor, reason, source, and timestamp.

Do you support multiple locations?

Stock counts are location-scoped on Starter and up, bin and sub-location tracking is on Starter, and stock transfers between locations are on Scale. Per-location reorder points and per-location forecasting are still not built: we'd rather say so than let you find out after you pay.

Can StockCue track expiry dates and lot numbers?

Yes, from Starter. Record a lot number and expiry date as you receive against a purchase order, then work the expiry report to see what is ageing out before it becomes a write-off. FEFO picking and scheduled expiry alerts are not built yet.

Do I need Shopify POS Pro?

No. StockCue runs on any Shopify plan, including Basic. Nothing here is tied to a POS tier.

Stocky already shut down. Is it too late to migrate?

No. StockCue's importer reads your Stocky data and brings suppliers, product-to-supplier assignments, lead times, and open POs across, with duplicate detection. If your Stocky data is no longer reachable, import your suppliers from CSV instead (free on every plan), and StockCue rebuilds your forecast from 24 months of Shopify order history on its own.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

It stays yours. StockCue reads only the Shopify data it needs and never shares it. Exports are available at any time, and everything is deleted 90 days after uninstall.

Is StockCue live?
