Prediko Alternatives for Shopify

Prediko targets growing DTC brands with real planning depth. The alternatives worth comparing if that's more planning machinery than your catalog needs.

Most pages titled "alternatives to X" open by finding something wrong with X. This one cannot. Prediko's Shopify App Store listing showed 4.9 stars across 246 reviews on September 6, 2026, 96 percent of them five-star, and reading through them turned up praise for support and migration help with no recurring complaint theme worth reporting. If you are looking for an alternative, the honest reason is fit or price, not quality, and this page is written on that assumption.

Disclosure: we build StockCue, one of the tools below. Competitor figures were read on the relevant App Store listing on September 6, 2026 and will drift.

Who Prediko is built for

Prediko describes itself as "AI inventory forecasting, demand planning and purchase order management." It is free to install with a 14-day trial, and on September 6, 2026 its paid tiers read Starter $49/mo, Scale-up $119/mo and Growth $199/mo, with a custom enterprise tier aimed at stores above $2M in revenue. Unlimited users, unlimited SKUs and unlimited inventory alerts are advertised on every paid tier.

Four things separate it from a small forecasting app, and they are worth naming precisely because they are what you would give up. No SKU ceiling, which matters if you carry a long tail of low-value variants that would push you up two tiers on a catalogue-priced app. Forward demand planning: a forecasting app projects your history forward, while demand planning goes the other way, taking a revenue target and spreading it across a horizon so purchasing lines up with the plan rather than with last year. Raw materials and production planning, which most Shopify inventory apps ignore entirely. And hands-on migration: several reviews mention the vendor doing the supplier import for them, one reading "The support team were very helpful and imported our suppliers," another "Their support has made the transition much easier." Since supplier records rarely export cleanly from anywhere, a human doing that work is worth real money.

Why merchants look for an alternative

Two reasons, and neither is a defect.

Entry price at small scale. $49/mo as of September 6, 2026 is a planning platform's price, not a utility's. Whether that is expensive depends entirely on how much of the platform you open. For a store asking one question, namely when to reorder these 150 SKUs and how many, it is a lot of machinery for one answer.

Feature surface you never touch. The same point from the other side. Demand planning against revenue targets, production planning and multi-user workflows are strengths only when they are in use. If they are not, you are buying capability rather than outcomes.

One housekeeping note, since it comes up. Prediko's marketing has described the product as one of Shopify's officially recommended Stocky replacements. We looked for a Shopify-owned page naming recommended replacement apps and did not find one on September 6, 2026. That is an absence of evidence rather than evidence against the product; treat the claim as unverified in either direction and judge the app on its listing.

Four capabilities that decide whether switching is a saving or a downgradeFour boxes are stacked on the left, one for each capability a planning platform has that a small SKU-tiered forecasting app does not: unlimited SKUs on every paid tier, planning forward against revenue targets, raw materials and production planning, and hands-on migration help from the vendor. A bracket gathers all four and an arrow leads right to a single conclusion box: if any of them are in use, moving to a lighter tool is a downgrade rather than a saving, so you should stay and stop comparing prices. Below the stack sits a fifth box for the opposite case, where none of the four describe your store, with its own arrow leading to the conclusion that the surface area is unused. The diagram is a test to run against your own usage, not a ranking of products.Run this test before you compare pricesWhich of these four do you actually use?Unlimited SKUs on every paid tierPlanning forward against revenue targetsRaw materials and production planningHands-on migration help from the vendorAny of them in use?Moving to a lighter tool is adowngrade, not a saving.Stay, and stop comparing prices.None of the four describe your storeThen the surface is unused
A usage test, not a scorecard. The four boxes are capabilities the smaller apps on this page genuinely do not have, so a yes to any of them settles the question before price enters it.

The comparison

All figures were read on the relevant App Store listing on September 6, 2026. The review counts stay in the table on purpose: StockCue had none on that date, and dropping the column would make this page less useful, not more flattering.

The alternatives worth a trial

Assisty has the largest review base of any app checked here: 4.8 stars across 356 reviews, with a genuinely free tier and paid plans up to $199/mo. It calls itself "AI-powered inventory management for multi-location brands," covering forecasting, reorder points, PO automation and replenishment across locations and SKUs. Reviewers name individual support staff and mention catalogues in the thousands of SKUs. The recurring criticisms are a learning curve on complex setups and gaps noticed by merchants arriving from Stocky. It is the strongest option here if you want breadth without a mid-market contract.

Sensible Inventory Forecasting is the opposite bet: one plan at $29/mo with a 30-day trial, rated 4.5 across 11 reviews. A single flat price with no tier ladder is a real advantage for a large, low-value catalogue. Eleven reviews is a real disadvantage if you want other merchants to have de-risked the decision for you.

Fabrikatör, 4.8 across 112 reviews at $99, $149 and $199 per month plus $0.75 per backorder beyond the first 50, is worth a look only if backorders and pre-orders are part of how you sell. That usage fee is the shape of the product, not a footnote.

Inventory Planner by Sage is the step up rather than the step down: 4.5 stars across 151 reviews, quote-based pricing set by the volume of inventory you manage, unlimited users included per the vendor's pricing page. Consider it if you outgrew Prediko rather than the other way round.

Shopify plus a spreadsheet is a serious answer under roughly 100 SKUs with stable demand, and whether you need planning software at all is the question worth settling before you compare one vendor against another. Native purchase orders already handle suppliers, payment terms, line-item costs and receiving via a linked transfer; the inventory reports include ABC analysis and days of inventory remaining; Flow is free on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. What you do not get is a forecast, a reorder point, or a low-stock threshold alert. Shopify's own documentation tells merchants to install an app or build a Flow for that last one. Our guide to forecasting methods for Shopify stores covers the math you would be doing by hand.

StockCue, ours, is narrower than Prediko on purpose: 24 months of order history, forecasting with seasonality on every plan including Free, and purchase orders, receiving and stock counts from Starter upward. No demand planning against revenue targets, no production planning, and it prices by catalogue size rather than offering unlimited SKUs.

STOCKCUE

If the only part of a planning platform you open is the reorder list, the Free plan covers 50 SKUs with seasonal forecasting included, and purchase orders arrive on the paid tiers.

When to stay put

Stay on Prediko if you use the demand planning. If you set revenue targets and buy against them, plan raw materials or production runs, carry a catalogue that would put you on a higher tier of a SKU-priced app, or had the vendor's team build your supplier data for you, then everything cheaper on this page is a downgrade rather than a saving. Its rating and review volume also mean you are running on well-trodden ground, which is worth something no feature list captures.

Switching costs are real and mostly invisible until you start: supplier records, lead times, unit costs and any open purchase orders come across by hand. Budget a weekend, not an afternoon, and do it in a quiet month rather than in the run-up to your peak. For the wider category picture, see our map of Shopify inventory app categories and the forecasting app roundup; if you came to Prediko during Stocky's shutdown and are reconsidering, the Stocky alternatives comparison covers that path.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the main Prediko alternatives for Shopify?

As of September 6, 2026 the closest options on the Shopify App Store are Assisty (4.8 stars, 356 reviews, with a free tier), Fabrikatör (4.8 stars, 112 reviews, monthly tiers plus a per-backorder fee), Sensible Inventory Forecasting (4.5 stars, 11 reviews, one flat $29/mo plan) and Inventory Planner by Sage (4.5 stars, 151 reviews, quote-based pricing). Shopify's free native purchase orders, inventory reports and Flow automation cover part of the job at no cost. Every one of those figures moves, so read the listing before you decide.

Is Prediko a good fit for a 200-SKU store?

It will work, but at 200 SKUs on one location you are likely to use a narrow slice of it. Prediko's paid tiers started at $49/mo as of September 6, 2026 and advertise unlimited SKUs, so the SKU ceiling that pushes smaller stores up a tier elsewhere is not a factor. The real test is whether you use the demand planning: if your question is only when to reorder and how much, most of the platform sits unopened.

What should you check before switching inventory planning tools?

Check how much sales history the new tool reads and whether it adjusts for seasonality; whether purchase orders and receiving sit on the tier you would actually buy rather than a higher one; whether there is a SKU limit and where your catalogue sits against it; and how supplier records, lead times and unit costs get into the new system. Supplier data in particular is usually re-entered by hand rather than moved across cleanly.
